Abstract: Forty six new middle European aphid species are recorded from Czechoslovakia.
Only species described and known from other parts of Europe are mentioned.
Approximately half of the recorded species live in steppe habitats and were
hitherto known frorn the southern regions of the USSR, the Balkan peninsula and
Southern Europe. Another major group of species was previously known from Great
Britain and Scandinavia. In addition several species, the occurrence of which
has been observed in some of the countries adjacent to Central Europe proper,
are recorded.
