Abstract: A new species of Aglycyderes Westwood, 1864 from Socotra Island (Yemen),
United Arab Emirates and Pakistan is described. Comparison with other related
species and differential diagnosis are provided. Whereas the other two known
species of the genus are endemic to Canary Islands and Morocco respectively, the
newly described species seems to be more widespread in South-west Asia.
