Abstract: Tituboea purcharti sp. nov., the first known species of Clytrini from Socotra
Island (Yemen), is decribed and illustrated. The new species belongs to the
group of larger species (above 7.0 mm) with not prolonged protarsi, glabrous
elytra and not elevated posterior pronotal angles. It is closely related to T.
arabica (Olivier, 1808) but differs in slender, flat aedeagus with prolonged
apex and in black pattern on elytra reduced to transverse fascia behind elytral
midlength.
