Abstract: In this paper 48 species of the butterfly-family Lycaenidae are listed. One was
found the first time in Iran: Lycaeides argyrognomon Bergsträsser. Because of
the similar ecology, the taxon transcaucasica Rebel of the same genus is
classified as a subspecies of L. christophi Staudinger. Among the material of
the first and the third expeditions a new subspecies of Agrodiaetus antidolus
Rebel from the northern Iran is recognized and described below.
