Abstract: Five species of Ptiliidae are recorded from Iran for the first time. These are
Nossidium pilosellum (Marsh.), Acrotrichis grandicollis (Mannh.), A.
jascicularis (Hbst.), A. matthewsi (Woll.) and A. jelineki sp. n., the latter
being described and figured.
