Abstract: Lady beetle fauna of the New Guinea has been studied by several entomologists
but there are still many coccinellid groups that have not been recorded from the
island yet. Newly collected materials from “Our Planet Reviewed – Papua New
Guinea” expedition revealed three new species belonging to the subfamily
Microweiseinae, till now unknown from New Guinea. Scymnomorphus bimaculatus sp.
nov., S. papuensis sp. nov., and S. kausi sp. nov. are described, and key
characters are illustrated. A key to Scymnomorphus species of the Australasian
Region is provided.
