Abstract: The South American genus Pseudodira Gordon, 1975 is revised; its species are
described, diagnosed and illustrated, and an identification key and comments are
provided. Rodolia carmelitana Mulsant, 1853 is removed from synonymy with Mada
fraterna (Mulsant, 1850), provided with lectotype designation, and transferred
to Pseudodira. Pseudodira amazona sp. nov. is described from Peru.
