Abstract: Two new genera and species, Jitka elegans gen. & sp. nov. (Myrocheini) and
Nene undulatum gen. & sp. nov. (Triplatygini) (both Hemiptera: Heteroptera:
Pentatomidae: Pentatominae), are described and illustrated, including structures
of the male and female genitalia of both taxa and the 4th instar larva of J.
elegans. The tribal placement of both new genera is discussed. The Pentatomidae
fauna of Madagascar currently comprises four subfamilies, 87 genera and
subgenera and 176 species (Asopinae 9 genera and subgenera/11 species,
Pentatominae 74/158, Phyllocephalinae 1/1, and Podopinae 3/6), of which
40 genera (46 %) and 176 species (85 %) are endemic.
