Abstract: Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) krali sp. nov., belonging to the A. (H.) proteus
Saunders, 1873 species-group (Coleoptera: Buprestidae: Buprestinae:
Anthaxiini), is described from China (Sichuan). The new species is fully
described, illustrated and compared with the most similar species of the group.
