Abstract: The European species of Scorpioteleia Ashmead, 1897 are revised, diagnosed and
keyed. Five European species of the genus are recognized, including one new
species – Scorpioteleia nixoni sp. nov. – described from the Czech
Republic, Austria, Poland, Russia and Sweden. Two new synonyms are proposed:
Eumiota Hellén, 1964, syn. nov. = Scorpioteleia, and Scorpioteleia longiventris
Kieffer, 1910, syn. nov. = S. longepetiolata (Thomson, 1859). The following new
country records are presented for S. compressa (Kieffer, 1910) (Austria,
Switzerland), S. cebes (Nixon, 1957) (Hungary, Poland, Slovakia), and S.
luteipes (Kiefer, 1910) (Albania, Hungary, Slovakia).
