Abstract: The Palaearctic genus Pachytomella Reuter, 1890, comprising six species, is revised, and new synonymies for varieties of P. phoenicea (Horváth, 1884) – P. phoenicea var. antennalis Reuter, 1891, P. phoenicea var. pedalis Reuter, 1904, P. phoenicea var. nigricornis Reuter, 1904 – are proposed. Diagnoses and detailed descriptions for the genus and all species are given. Keys to males and females, as well as colour digital habitus images and illustrations of genital structures are provided. The lectotype for Pachytomella cursitans Reuter, 1905 is designated. Pachytomella parallela is recorded for the first time from Andorra and P. phoenicea from Jordan and Syria.

Yamada Kazutaka, Ballal Chandish R., Gupta Tripti, Poorani JanakiramanDescription of a new species of Anthocoris (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Anthocoridae) from southern India, associated with striped mealybug on purple orchid treeActa Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae 50(2): 415-424
Abstract: Anthocoris muraleedharani Yamada, sp. nov. is described from Karnataka State, southern India, and is distinguished from its allies, A. dividens Bu & Zheng, 2001 and A. miyamotoi Hiura, 1959, by the coloration of hemelytra and legs and structure of male genitalia. Anthocoris muraleedharani Yamada, sp. nov. feeds on striped mealybug, Ferrisia virgata (Cockerell, 1893) (Coccomorpha: Pseudococcidae), which attacks purple orchid tree, Bauhinia purpurea Linnaeus (Fabaceae). Biology of the new bug is briefly discussed. A key to the Indian species of Anthocoris Fallén, 1814 is also given.

Abstract: The fauna of Iranian broad-headed bugs (Coreoidea: Alydidae) is studied in this paper. A total of twenty-one species of eleven genera (Alydus Fabricius, 1803, Camptopus Amyot & Serville, 1843, Euthetus Dallas, 1852, Heegeria Reuter, 1881, Megalotomus Fieber, 1860, Mirperus Stål, 1860, Nariscus Stål, 1865, Nemausus Stål, 1866, Riptortus Stål, 1859, Tenosius Stål, 1860, Leptocorisa Latreille, 1829) belonging to two subfamilies (Alydinae, Leptocorisinae) are listed for Iranian fauna. Out of them, three species, Megalotomus junceus (Scopoli, 1763), M. ornaticeps (Stål, 1858) and Leptocorisa oratoria (Fabricius, 1794), are new records for Iran.

Duwal Ram Keshari, Yasunaga Tomohide, Lee Seung-HwanKmentophylus nom. nov., a new substitute name for Aplagiognathus (Heteroptera: Miridae)Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae 50(2): 444-444
Abstract: A new substitute name, Kmentophylus nom. nov., is proposed for the recently described plant bug genus Aplagiognathus Duwal, Yasunaga & Lee, 2010 (Miridae: Phylinae: Phylini) that is preoccupied by the genus group name, Aplagiognathus Thomson, 1860 (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae). Accordingly, a new combination, Kmentophylus albopilosus (Duwal, Yasunaga & Lee, 2010) comb. nov., is established.
Fikáček Martin, Prokop Jakub, Nel AndréFossil water scavenger beetles of the subtribe Hydrobiusina (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) from the Late Oligocene locality of Aix-en-Provence (France)Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae 50(2): 445-458
Abstract: Two species assigned to the subtribe Hydrobiusina (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae: Hydrophilinae: Hydrophilini) from the Late Oligocene locality of Aixen-Provence (France) are examined: Hydrobius obsoletus Heer, 1856 is removed from the Hydrophiloidea and placed in Coleoptera incertae sedis based on the examination of its holotype. Limnoxenus olenus sp. nov. is described from two well-preserved fossil specimens. Based on a phylogenetic analysis combining the data of recent and fossil species, L. olenus sp. nov. is supported as belonging to the non-Hawaiian group of the genus Limnoxenus Motschulsky, 1853; it represents the first known fossil record of the genus.

Hesperus longicornis Cameron, 1950 syn. nov. is synonymized with Pseudohesperus conradti. All Afrotropical species of the genus Pseudohesperus are keyed and their aedeagi and relevant morphological characters are figured. In addition, new synonyms and new combinations are proposed for some other representatives of the Afrotropical Philonthina based on the study of type specimens. Five species of Philonthus are synonymized: Philonthus captivus Levasseur, 1966 syn. nov. = P. wittei Bernhauer, 1932; P. parasanguineus Levasseur, 1962 syn. nov. = P. ichor Tottenham, 1961; P. rubrovittatus Tottenham, 1979 syn. nov. = P. nimeaglius Tottenham, 1962; P. discoideisimillis Scheerpeltz, 1974 syn. nov. = P. taterae Scheerpeltz, 1951; and P. flandrianus Cameron, 1952 syn. nov. = P. ventralis Gravenhorst, 1802. Dorsal habitus and diagnostic characters on the male external genitalia of all three species of Bietia are illustrated. A diagnosis of the genus and a key to species are provided. The systematic position of Bietia among the known genera of the Oriental and Palaearctic Goliathini is shortly discussed. A brief description of the habitat of B. naxiorum sp. nov. as well as notes on its ground-dwelling habits are given; a ground-dwelling behaviour of adults is recorded for the first time in the Asian Goliathini.

Roháček JindřichA peculiar male genitalia monstrosity in Anthomyza neglecta (Diptera: Anthomyzidae)Acta Entomologica Musei Nationalis Pragae 50(2): 619-628
Abstract: An unusual monstrosity of the male genitalia of Anthomyza neglecta Collin, 1944 (Anthomyzidae) is described (and illustrated) based on a specimen reared from a tuft of sedge (Carex acuta L.) from Přemyšov Nature Reserve near Polanka nad Odrou (Czech Republic) and compared with normal genitalia of specimens from the same locality. The striking modifications of the genitalia of this aberrant specimen include: (1) complete disappearance of the internal genital structures (hypandrium, aedeagal complex) with only (somewhat enlarged) ejacapodeme remaining outside the epandrial capsule under 8th sternum; (2) epandrium asymmetrical, dorsoventrally compressed and anteroventrally closed, with only a small circular opening for the alimentary canal; (3) medandrium greatly deformed (shortened and asymmetrical); (4) gonostyli strongly asymmetrical (particularly right gonostylus extremely malformed and wholly dissimilar to normal form) and (5) abnormally asymmetrical cerci.
